Well as most of you know my life has been kind of turned upside down this past week.

Death is never easy, but when a Son, Brother, Twin, (Donnie's twin who is identical is really suffering), Uncle, dear friend and neighbor is so needlessly killed (hit-and-run driver) to me it is unthinkable. The Lord and I have had some serious talks this last week and as usual I know that he has a purpose even though I still don't know what it is at this point in time.

Donnie's Memorial Services were this last Sat., he was a tissue donor & organ (though they were to badly damaged to be used.)

Our local police are moving quite rapidly, maybe because they have such a tremendous amount of evidence. The individual that caused this tragedy is still in jail and without a doubt will remain there until trial as no one seems able to raise his bail.

Our family started another new year this way awhile back and this is not the way to start a new year and I certainly would not wish it on anyone, foe or friend.

My street is still a frozen icy mess. From what my friends tell me the trip between Cortez and Durango is truly beautiful now that the highways are clear. The weather individuals were saying that here in Cortez for the month of December we got two feet of snow and then the water content breaks down to quite a bit less, but it is white as far as the eye can see. You drive down south like going to New Mexico and you can see that all of the mountains on the Navajo Indian Reservation have received as much as we have or more.

I bet the rez is beautiful.

Hopefully, you'll begin t see beauty through tragedy as the year moves forward.
