MONTH OF APRIL

Weather here in SW Colo for the month of April was very miserable for me as I do not like the wind and it not only blew, but there were times that it was very furious and cold. There was one day that we had wind gusts up to 45 MPH and I'm sorry, but that can get nasty with tree branches coming down around you and driving, forget it. The date of this posting, 5-2-08 the wind is blowing again and is very, very cold. We had a hard freeze last night. My Grandma use to tell us kids when we were growing up here, do not plant anything but root crops until all of the snow is gone off of old man Ute, and guess what, there is still snow up there.

As I am reading the Harry Potter books received from my oldest niece a friend of mine brought by his Trivia cards for Sorcerer's Stone which I have in turn shared with two of my nieces as well as him by typing the questions in on the computer along with the multiple choice answers, they answer, I grade them and we have running scores. Doing the cards really helped pass the time along with reading Harry Potter while the weather was so miserable, though I can't say it is much better now. I'm currently on The Order of the Phoenix. I really enjoy J. K. Rowling as an author and now that I'm reading the Potter books I'm sad to realize that there aren't that many more left, but I will truly enjoy going back and reading again and again. Don't think I will ever be as good at the trivia cards as the girls and my friend are doing.

On the 19th of April Chris & Jake got married so on the 16th I traveled to Az for the wedding and spend quality time with my family. I got to spend time with everyone and loved it dearly. When I went over to Ms. Pickle's she met me at the door and greeted me just like I see her every day instead of so infrequently. All of us that traveled to AZ can actually say that we had a wonderful time, right Captian Deb?? I drove back on the 23rd and about half way home I ran into the wind again. I don't think it is every going to quit this year.
