When I came back from running errands on Sat. I saw that the top of my Maple tree was this brilliant red and then I got to looking at the Virginia Creeper on the fence and saw all of these wonderful colors which have not been there for the last 3 fall seasons.
So I decided yesterday that I was going up the river to look at colors. (Yes, I know. I wish I really had the hang of this digital camera, I think I know then I go to use and I can't get it to work).
I went up to Lizard Head Pass and then turned around and came back. No one else wanted to go so I went by myself. The colors were absolutely spectacular. The oak bushes are every color under the sun, and the Aspens are magnificent in their own right. So the past two REAL winters have definitely had something to do with the fall colors, even though they say that we did not get the right amount of snow in the mountains this last winter. Wish I knew a little more about this kind of stuff.
Have been busy trying to get ready for winter with outside stuff and then in October I want to do deep cleaning in the house. Sorry that is just how I was raised. We had 2 weeks of really cold weather, have had our first freeze but I didn't loose anything as my sprinkler system came on that night and theres not a doubt in my mind that is what saved my container garden and flower beds.
Life is very busy and people that get bored with retirement must not have much going on in their lives as I manage to stay very, very busy and love every minute of it.
