Winter Arrival

Well I must tell you one and all it has been a very long time since we have had a snow storm this early. We got up to snow this AM and I just checked the weather forecast and it states that we have 80% chance of snow this PM and tonight so who knows what we will get up to in the AM. They have been predicting this storm for several days so I had planned my week accordingly and certainly am glad that I did, therefore the storm is not bothering me one little bit.

Well the month of October has been just as busy if not more so than all prior months. As some of you know and some may not, two of the girls and their children were up the first week of the month and it was very enjoyable having them here.

Some yard work and some housework but mainly helping friends out with various and sundry unexpected things that have recently transpired in their lives. I love being able to help in whatever little way I can because of all of the wonderful kindnesses extended to me in the past. While working I could not do this, but certainly can now that I am retired.

Life is good, life is great.

I just keep plugging along and enjoying anything and everything the Lord sends my way. I know that he has a reason and a purpose and I just hope and pray that I am doing what he wants me to do.

I have another friend that had a heart attack yesterday AM and just found out that he is now in his own room and they will install a pace maker at Mercy Hospital in Durango and he should be released on Saturday to come home. We are so very fortunate that we have all of the specialists that we do in Durango. It is truly a blessing or a quick helicopter ride to St. Marys in Grand Junction. There was a day that your only recourse was Denver and when you are seriously ill that wasn't always a option.
